The Management Team

David Man (Director)

David has been involved in the industry since leaving full time education. His previous experience includes working for major controls manufacturer Satchwells, where he was one of its youngest Grade I engineers, and the former Landis and Gyr (now Siemens), where he was project manager before going into sales. A thorough grounding in the subject has given him a detailed knowledge of how to design and implement the application of controls in diverse industry processes.

Thomas Crossland BSC (Technical manager)

Thomas has worked in the process control industry for 30 years. A conservationist in his spare time he brings this knowledge as well as his industry expertise into the Building Management System arena. His is very much a hands on role. He works closely with clients carrying out much of the groundwork needed prior to commencing a project, and will continue to manage it to its satisfactory conclusion.

Michael Man (Procurement and sales)

Michael's role is to look at the designs passed to him by the technical team and procure the components necessary to enable work to proceed. It is a wide ranging and important logistical role. It involves close liaison with all Sandford's key suppliers. He negotiates the best possible terms with manufacturers and distributors, so that where possible, the benefits can be passed to Sandford's own clients.

The remit will start with the initial estimating process, which involves understanding the client's technical needs from a very early stage, working out the components and services needed, and being able to resolve customer related issues as they arise.

Lynda Armstrong (Office and accounts manager)

Lynda, who joined the company in 2005, is usually the first point of communication between client and Sandford. As well as being the voice on the end of the telephone, her role involves handling enquiries, managing all administration, personnel and accounts functions.


The Production Team

Sandford's production team members have been very carefully picked not just for technical expertise, but for their flexibility and willingness to work as a team. They work very closely together on individual projects, combining their experience and expertise in many different fields. They are headed by Balhar Singh and Eric Guilloud.

Allen Simon (Workshop manager)

Allen is responsible for ensuring all commissions run smoothly, are completed in the right order and to the desired deadline. He developed much of his experience working for a Process Control Company and in an FMCG environment and is very familiar with the technological requirements within the industry.

Eric Guilloud (Commissioning and test manager)

Eric is responsible for all panel testing. A very experienced electrician and panel technician, he is closely involved in all Sandford's commissioning and site modification works, including panel refurbishments.
